This policy explains how CommerceWP (“CommerceWP”, “we”, “us”) collects and uses personal data when you visit commercewp.com, create an account, buy or download our products, or contact us.

Data we collect

• Account and order data: name, email address, billing address, order history, license keys and download records.
• Payment data: handled directly by Paddle.com, our Merchant of Record. We receive confirmation of payment and limited details (such as card brand and last four digits), never your full card number.
• Messages: the name, email and content you send through our contact form.
• Newsletter: your email address, if you subscribe to product updates.
• License activation data: for paid plugins, the site URL where a license key is activated, plus plugin, WordPress and PHP versions, so we can validate licenses and deliver updates.
• Technical data: IP address, browser type and essential cookies needed for login, cart and checkout.

How we use it

• To process orders, deliver downloads, issue license keys and provide updates (contract).
• To answer support requests and messages (contract / legitimate interest).
• To send product news to subscribers who opted in (consent — you can unsubscribe at any time).
• To keep the Site secure, prevent fraud and meet tax and accounting obligations (legal obligation / legitimate interest).

We do not sell your personal data.

Who we share it with

We share data only with service providers that help us run the store: Paddle.com, which processes payments as our Merchant of Record and handles invoicing and sales tax (Paddle also acts as an independent controller of the data you give it at checkout, see Paddle’s privacy policy), our web host, and our email delivery provider. Each processes data only to provide its service to us. Some providers may process data outside your country under appropriate safeguards.

Cookies

We use essential cookies to keep you logged in and to remember your cart during checkout. We do not use advertising cookies. If we add analytics or marketing tools in future, we will update this policy first.

How long we keep it

Account and order records are kept for as long as your account is active and afterwards as required for tax and accounting law (for as long as those laws require). Contact messages are kept for up to 2 years. Newsletter data is kept until you unsubscribe.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your personal data, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. Children

Our products are intended for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 16.
